What is Cranio-Sacral Therapy?
Cranio-Sacral Therapy is a light touch therapy that addresses your nervous system. It’s a therapy that comes from osteopathic medicine (bone doctors). William Sutherland is the father of osteopathy.
A skilled cranio-sacral therapist can palpate the cerebral spinal fluid and facilitate that fluid to start moving where it’s stuck or not moving.
In the cranial field “Allow physiologic function within to manifest its own potency rather than apply a blind force from without.” Dr. William Sutherland dedicated his life to advance the art of osteopathy. He began to investigate the body’s mechanical function and identify the body’s living anatomy – flow of cerebral spinal fluid, texture of tissues and compression of bones.
Babies and Birth Work
I have a lot of experience working with babies that have had challenging births:
- Breach births
- Torticollis
- Cesarean birth
- Forceps used at birth
Newborns and Infants express themselves by gurgling, crying, and wailing. But what if you feel like you can’t satisfy their needs or simply don’t know what’s going on?
